PUREBRED RICE VARIETY TBR45

1. Origin:
 

TBR45 is a purebred rice variety selected by ThaiBinh Seed Joint Stock Corporation, it was recognized as National Seed in 2011.

2. Characteristics:
 

TBR45 is a cold-tolerant, short - term rice variety.

Growing time: in the North of Viet Nam: in Spring crop from 125 days to 135 days, in Summer crop from 105 days to 110 days; in South Central and Central Highlands: in Winter-Spring crop from 105 days to 110 days, in Summer - Autumn crop from 95 days to 100 days; in the South of Viet Nam from 95 days to 100 days.

Height: from 110 cm to 115 cm, strong stem, anti - shedding, beautiful phenotype, concentrated flowering, big flowers; slim seeds, arranged narrowly, 1000 seeds's net weight is about 19 grams to 21 grams.

Good resistance to rice blast bacteria, slightly infected by brown spot disease, by leaf blight bacteria and by striped spots bacteria; good resistance to cold, resistance to salinity 3-4 ‰.

Average yield reaches from 65 quintals to 70 quintals/ha, can reach from 75 quintals to 80 quintals/ha with good intensive farming conditions.

Good rice's quality, cooked rice is soft.
